Hugh, there is a real good clue as to the date of your Frejus by the model of Simplex Mod. Tour de France derailleur on your bike. There were lots of variations to the model. The 1950 Simplex Italian catalog I sell shows some of the models. If you send a jpeg I could maybe help identify.
