Subject: [CR]Found "Cortopassi" Frameset

Does a "Cortopassi" frameset mean anything to anybody? My date guess is 1980. Picked one up this weekend, in nearly "mint" condition. Looks to have not been ridden. It's a 57cm (c2c), and therefore/unfortunately, substantially too large for me -- 53cm bikes don't show up that often. Looks like Prugnat lugs with longer points. All Columbus SL tubes forks and stays, which confirms my estimate of about 1980 or possibly a year or two before. Will likely sell it as a frameset, though it did come with a set of CD'A cranks, Shimano 600 brake calipers, and Superbe Pro rear derailleur -- all this from about 1990. Also some reasonably nice Specialized wheels. Has some odd shifters that mount just above the brake levers, which are adjusted with the thumbs.

Have done searches on the name Cortopassi, but have found nothing. Any information on this name as related to bicycles?

Thanks,
Steve Dahlquist
