I love your bike. If it ever needs a new home - let me know! I once had one that was an identical twin of yours - met a violent end with a car. Like yours - rode like a dream. Hope I'm lucky enough to find one again some day.

I think the seller was probably surprised at the selling price also as the original listing included a "buy it now" for $2000 that I didn't think it would fetch. I was interested in the bike and considered bidding on it but the desciption of the bike stated that the head tube chrome was pitted. It looked great in the photos but the seller was unwilling to provide any more info (photo or desciption) of the corrosion after several querries and I decided to not bid. It was a beautiful bike but it still seems like it went for a lot considering some unknown amount of damage to the chrome. All that's required is two people that really want it to drive up the price.
