A couple of emails I received off List about Beryl, prompted me to look up what Ron Kitching had to say about her in his autobiography "A Wheel in Two Worlds", produced and apparently published by Ron himself in 1993.

It appaers that as long ago as 1963 Beryl was riding Ron's bikes but I suspect they were the Anquetils he distributed.

On a couple of pages or so he talks openly about the two women in his life - apart that is from May his wife - namely Eileen Sheriden and Beryl Burton. Quite eye-opening remarks! Eileen now in her 80s I still alive and recently was guest speaker at one of our annual dinners.

For anyone who would like to have an intimate look at how the world of wheeling and dealing was carried on in Europe in the 40s to the 80s, they could do no better than dip into Ron's book.. if you can a copy that is.
