Subject: [CR]Swallows and Condors

Greg Brooks posed the question about the desirability of condor bikes - the British marque launched by Monty young, right in the heart of the city of London, sometime back in the 50s. I think it fair to say that present day Condors are not what they used to be, but some of the early ones matched any other leading hand-bult British lightweight frame for quality, lugwork and design. "Masters" such as Bill Hurlow worked for Condor, and more latterly Tom Board. early Condors are not the easiest thing to come by but there is one currently going through the UK Ebay on Collectables/ Transportation/ Bicycles - Item 3681785286. Current best bid is £219 which hasn't reached the reserve with 1 day 18 hrs to run.

The bike is a 22" fitted out with some good quality correct accessories. The frame itself has been renovated recently and has chrome in all the right places. certainly worth a look.
