Scott, Did you look at the 1983 cataloge on that web site? Thre is an '83 PH-10 which is relatively basic but it did have (if I recall correctly) forged rear dropouts with an integral derailleur hanger. I don't recall Peugeot ever producing a model called a PH-8, at least not in my lifetime. There was a UO-8 which was the garden variety "10 speed" bicycle made from ordinary carbon steel. If your bike has the rear derailleur mounted with a "claw hanger" then it is most likely a UO-8. Again, if I recall correctly, all of the ??-10 models (even the lowliest ones) had forged rear dropouts and tubing that was at least a bit "special" - i.e. the PFN-10 was made from Durifort, the later PGN-10 was from Reynolds 501 and the PSV-10 from Super Vitus. I hope that helps in some manner - cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
