Rod, Having recently run into the same problem and after alot of crying, I gave this a try: stick in a Phil Wood assembly! Well, it worked great. The "cups" seem to have "deeper" threads (maybe "sharper" then Campagnolo). Make a proper installation of it and don't kill the cups; just real snug. Use the blue locktite after super cleaning the b.b. I use carb and choke cleaner; just don't let it on the paint. At least worth a try before more strenuous methods.
