Pic of the Day 8th January Four "Plus-4s"

Four Frenchmen out for some winter training... mudguards, wool jumpers, plus-4s, caps. But not just any group of cyclists!

On the left is Léon Le Calvez - winner of the 1932 Criterium National, second at the 1933 G.P.des Nations, second at the 1933 Paris-Caens, third at the 1933 Paris-Roubaix.

Next to him is Charles Pelissier - winner of the 1933 Critérium des As, French Cyclocross Champion in 1926 1927 and 1928, winner of the climb of Mont Faron in 1927 and 1928, winner of eight stages of the 1930 Tour de France, winner of five stages of the 1931 TdF, winner of the 1933 Criterium des As, winner of the 1934 Circuit de Paris, etc.

Third from the left is Fernand Mithouard - winner of the 1933 Bordeaux-Paris.

And on the right, Georges Speicher - winner of the Tour de France AND the World Road Championship in 1933, French Road Champion in 1935 1937 and 1939, and winner of Paris-Roubaix in 1936.
