Can't say I've ever understood trying to limit the quantity of discussion here. I just read the subject line and delete away!!! I do believe the quality of discussion needs to be elevated though.
This may sound harsh, but there's way too much The Little Red Hen going on here; a few doing most of the work and the vast majority of the list perfectly happy to lurk and not to do their own homework.
But yeah as to your proposition... sit back and see who steps up to take up the slack.
