Subject: [CR]The Belgian Campy Gran Sport...

I have never seen a pre-'60 Campy Gran Sport, but two things trouble me about this unit. First, the pulleys look much more like very worn later plastic NR pulleys than the no-teeth steel pulleys I'm used to on early Campy Record and GS. I suspect these are not the originals (which is not a capital offense). Second, (and this may be a photographic artifact), the lustre and overall appearance of the body and cage plates are more akin to aluminum than chrome's mirror lustre.

Again, I'm not an expert of early Campy Gran Sports, but the appearance is rather different from my later ones.

Eh?
