I read Paul Brown's post with a good deal of interest. As I have often mentioned, I have a dear friend, Bill Barrow, who has owned Holt Pro Cyclery in Holt Michigan for many years and has owned two or three shops at a time in years past. His unfailing generosity and kindness has helped more times than I can recall, given my own meager mechanical skills. A couple of weeks ago I had brought my 6 year old grand son there for the first time. Bill generously took him on a first class tour of the shop, the work rooms and storage rooms. The little boys eyes were huge...he finally said to Bill "Wow! You've really got a nice store!" Bill grinned proudly and said softly to him "Ya, after 40 years I still enjoy coming to work." This has just gotta be why these dudes endure, to paraphrase Jeff
Bridges
in that Cohen Brothers movie.
