There is no spanner available from TA to remove the dustcap from the TA pedals. I've removed them by gently tapping them around with a screwdriver and a small hammer. If you are careful you will not mar the dustcaps. It is not possible to "adjust" the bearings anyway as they pressed in cartridge bearings. There is a roller bearing at the crank end and a ball bearing at the dustcap end. TA used to supply a small grease gun for the pedals but I notice that, like many other things, it is not listed in their latest catalogue. Speedplay has an excellent gun that works well but any decent tool shop should be able to supply one. A gun with a small pointed nozzle is all that is needed. Just pump grease through them. The dirty grease comes out the back. The bearings last for ages. What does a little play matter? Mike Barry. A TA dealer for more than thirty years. Toronto. Canada.
