Peter: Excellent point of view. I expressed my points to Peter offline, mostly in that if someone wanted a set of rollers in wood, at a competitive price point to others of equel quality on the market, there needs to be a reason to buy these, or a distict advantage over the competitors. Just wondering if wooden rollers would be more comfortable, less stiff than riding on metal or plastic rollers. Peter expressed that he has a pair of wooden rollers that he uses two to three times a week, that are about 40 years old and they are still functioning well.

I would think if these rollers are being produced by hand in a local shop by someone Peter knows the quality is going to be very high. If the price is right, I'll be purchasing a set. But I'm a bit old fashioned and the idea of riding on wood just feels better than riding on rollers of alloy or plastic, but then againmost of my cooking utinsils are wood.

As a former operations manager for a small group of retail stores selling treadmills, most folks buy exercise machines and after an initial use, they usually becomes fixed sculptures in the playroom, garage or attic. I'm not sure if avid cyclist vary much from that. Unfortunately my wife has a Tony Little Gazelle sitting in our basement collecting dust. With the amount of use it gets, it will be used by generations to come, or more likely land up in a landfill someday.
