Is anybody familiar with Sampson bottom brackets? I have an English thread one. It has alloy cups and uses sealed bearings (I think that is what you call them). The spindle is very lightweight, my guess is that it is on a par with a Campagnolo titanium BB and is of a goldish hue. The spindle between the bearings is a considerably larger diameter section that a 'standard' spindle. It has four millings. The diameter of the spindle at the bottom of the millings is likely similar to that of a traditional spindle (does this make any sense to anybody?)
I am trying to figure out what I have in my hands and whether it is in any way collectible. It has been used.
