I have bought over a dozen pairs of classic cycling shoes at my local thrift store, the bargain box, unfortunately that store is no longer there. But a thrift store in your area might have something, keep looking. Also you could send out a wanted request on the list with your shoe size, some list members may have what you need, might even be NOS. In a week or two I will get a large stash of TA cleats, which I intend to sell asap. I bought an old bicycle reflector today, it is engraved BOOSTER VFW BICYCLE SAFETY CLUB, anyone have an idea of the relevance of BOOSTER, or what V. F. W. stands for? Veterans of foreign wars?

Bit late on this. Carnac makes trationally styles shoes but they're not imported. St. John Street Cycles is your best bet. R.E.W Reynolds is still in business in Northamptom, England to the best of my knowledge. If you don't want them perforated Capizio dancing shoes make a good substitute. Take them to a good shoemaker and have a thicker sole put on. A good shoemaker can also reshape them a bit-I have narrow feet so I usually need this. And a search of older shops can bring big dividends. I got a nice pair of Sidi titianiums for $25 that way. Phil Brown Looks like a nice day shaping up in San rafael, Calif.
