Two questions for the group expertise here:

1) what color do most of you associate with the Eisentraut custom frames from the 70s? I know they came in lots of different colors...but was there a color, or colors, that somehow *said* Eisentraut? Memory says metallic-anthracite, and medium metallic blue were two frame colors that were common. Were there others? Was there some other color that was *the* Eisentraut color? Like Ugo blue is the De Rosa color? Thanks for any insight on this one.

2) If I bought a new high-quality frame (like a custom Eisentraut, say <g>) in 1979, and I wanted to outfit it for the lightest weight and best performance, what sort of trick parts group would I have used? Alloy bolts and nuts for various clamps and brakes I assume... weyless seat-post maybe. What were the lightest hubs, rims, cranks, pedals derailleurs and brakes at that time? In particular were there any American makers making small runs of light-weight, high- performance road stuff, like High-E for instance? And Campagnolo brakes were quite heavy..was anyone making better brakes that were significantly lighter (like the Gallis with all the titanium and alloy fittings. I do have one pair of those..anything else out there like that, at that time?) Any and all input appreciated. If you post the list, please post me privately as well, since I get the digest.

Thanks!!
