I wonder if the use of a set of Campy brake drop-bolts is needed? Have you tried this yet? Does anyone know if this will allow the use of short reach sidepulls on a Raleigh International frameset?

To solve the brake reach problem, braze on some mafac cantilevers.

The only problems that I could of would be the following:

1. Brake Reach - Some Inters require long reach centerpulls with 700 tubulars, especially on the rear, so it may be a stretch with 650's.

2. Reduced Trail - Although I love my Inters, they are a bit twitchy. Shorter wheels will reduce trail and perhaps degrade the stability a bit.

On the positive side, most Inter's have fairly high BB's so they can handle smaller wheels for that aspect and in addition, the smaller wheels would reduce the propensity for toe clip overlap with fenders.

I say go for it!
