I have nutted bar clamp examples with and without anodizing.
I know it happened prior to my being aware of stuff 1972, and I asked then but no one knew for sure...

Another oddity, the shop I worked for ordered a large selection of Cinelli track steel track stems in 1974, when the goods arrived 3 had the logo plate, the others were of the stamped later type, NOS back even then.
