Subject: [CR]handlebars in Aldo's photo

This probably has come up before, but looking at Aldo's photo, the majority of handlebars on the bikes are so narrow that you would think that the riders would be experiencing blood circulation problems in their arms. Any particular reason why they didn't like to use wider bars in those days? The guy in the front on the left, he appears to have very long arms and big hands, but look at those bars!
