I do know that Doc Green started at Gillotts just after the war as a lug
filer. Harry Carrington told me they tried to teach him to use a torch but
he nearly set fire to the workshop. He set up on his own later and produced
nice work but HC always doubted if he built the frames himself. This may or
may not be sour grapes from HC because HE plagiarised Gillotts script logo
and the badge design. They looked almost identical.
