      One of the old time mechanics at Roy's Sheepshead Cycles in Brooklyn called them "tubularos". He never used any other Italian. His name was Vinny Massi. I learned alot from him. I continue to call them that once in a while to remember Vinny and pay homage. ciao. John T.Pergolizzi
