Our little Colnago party is still on for this Sunday. Weather should be nice. Partly cloudy and cool, with some sunshine. The ride leaves from the north end of Dana Point Marina, from the parking lot at the north end of Dana Point Marina Drive at 10am or thereabouts. Meet at 9:30 to visit and check out the bikes. <g> We'll do a 25-mile-or-so loop through Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel. About half on paved bikepaths. Something a little different. Continental breakfast before we leave, lunch at Dana Point after. Riders' choice prize for the best Colnago in attendance. There will be some climbing. Casual-paced, no-drop, social ride otherwise. Maybe we can drop by Marcel Calborn's Bicisport in Laguna Hills and harass Marcel for a few minutes...he also has some neat Colnagos on display.

RSVPs so far from:

Chuck Schmidt Jay Van De Veldt Matt Gorski Derek Willburn Steve Maas Burl Simon Scott Smith Don Gillies Rob O'Callaghan John Morrison

Brian Baylis? Sterling Peters? If you can make it, we'll see you there.

Anyone else who will be there, please RSVP by Saturday so I know who to expect. You don't have to ride a Colnago..just ride something italian, and if that's not possible, ride whatever you have.

Should be an enjoyable time..

Concerning Carlos Kleiber one of the greatest of all post-war conductors:

The glamour often associated with a conductor's life held no appeal for him; he preferred to stay at home in Munich. He once told Leonard Bernstein: "I want to grow in a garden. I want to have the sun. I want to eat and drink and sleep and make love and that's it."
