I've visited the Milwaukee County Fair Grounds in Milwaukee yesterday and it seems like a great spot for an indoor or outdoor show. I'll make a decision later next week as to the final location, but these fair grounds seem like the obvious choice so far. Without going into details, everything needed for a successful event is on site. For folks in Michigan, the fairgrounds are about 10 miles from the ferry docks, and Mitchell Airport is a very short drive for those flying in.
I would like to thank all of those who suggested sites in their states.
For Milwaukee, I've got the choice of dates for the weekends of either July 16th & 17th, July 23rd & 24th or August 20th & 21st. I'm leaning torward the August dates, with only one possible conflicting event in the Midwest the weekend of August 13th & 14th. If anyone in the Midwest knows of conflicting events those weekends please let me know. Your help is appreciated.
To continue the tradition of a prior swap that was held in Milwaukee during February and has not been held for a few years, I'm planning on working with the show organizers of that event for its revival next february.
