I thought I already sent a "mea culpa," but it didn't show up in my digests, so I'm assuming it didn't get through for some reason. So just a quick apology to anyone who felt my post regarding a "theme" for top-five bike lists was in any way critical of their selections. It certainly wasn't meant to be. Honestly. It's just that I've been struggling a bit with the balanace between variety and direction, breadth and depth, as my own "collection" mushrooms (how many fixed-gear projects is too many?). Nor did I intend to imply that anyone was neglecting Flying Scot - just genuinely surprised that no one had listed one in their top five (until Walt - no surprise there as I've seen the bike, if it's the one he brought to T-Town). So again, sorry if my post came off as critical. I certainly don't have a soapbox to stand on, much less a Masi Speciale.
