While we are on the subject of pantographing, I have a question about components and pantagraphing. Was the pantagraphing paid for by the bicycle manufacturer and was it done after the production of the parts? For example, those Campagnolo parts engraved with Colnago, to use one that you frequently see, did Campagnolo perform the pantagraphing and have a production run of Colnagno pantagraphed parts, or was it that Colnago pantagraphed the parts after they received them?
The reason I ask is that I see some infrequently encountered bikes, like a Rossignoli for example, with pantagraphed parts. And I can't imagine, though that doesn't mean much, that Campagnolo would have a run of Rossignoli parts to continue with the same example.
