The official announcement of the re-start of Claud Butlers was in March 1960. Press release states: "Yet another interesting development in the career of the famous cycles maker Claud Butler is revealed in the announcement that Pride & Clarke 158 Stockwell Road, London, S.W.9 have obtained the agency of Claud Butler frames. All three frames are supplied with alloy saddle pillar, and carry "The New Claud", "Claud Butler London England", and laurel wreath and Olympic rings transfer. The machines to be distributed by Pride and Clarke will be produced personally by Mr.Butler, who has re-established himself in business in London S.W.11. The original business started by Claud Butler and developed at Clapham is now being carried on by C.B. Cycles, London S.E.20." Hooray for cycling mates who are ex Fleet Street librarians! P.S.If you have one of these frames the press release even gives the model colours.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
