Can we talk about enjoying old bikes without having to dis(respect) modern bikes? Please?

Not everything older is better. Not everything new is bad. Quite the opposite. Let's keep opinions and dogma separate.

I rode my modern, comfortable, light, durable, reparable and elegant bicycle up Mt. Diablo at lunchtime today. I wouldn't trade the bike for any other. It is not good or bad in and of itself. It's simply a tool and a vehicle. The ride was great.
