Too many engineers here and not enough poets.

I know I'd ride my '69 PX-10 faster than any modern bike. Why? Well, it has nothing to do with specs or weight or materials. It has to do with bonding with a wonderful, classic machine and knowing, just knowing she can beat most of the toothpaste tube graphic bikes out there. And she often does. All it takes is one sight of lime green spandex, those goofy white rimmed sunglasses and the 'orrible clacking sound of clipless pedals (eeeccch....!) and we're off to the races. It's like a red cape to a bull.

Now, if I could just be 25 years younger; that's a disadvantage that nothing from a bike store is going make up.
