I have more than a few Regina Oro freewheels (been riding them since the mid 1970s) and some are very, very darkly tarnished. In other words, no longer their original shiny brass color. However, they shine right up with Happich - Simichrome™ polish.

Yes, I know "for sure" that they are brass plated.
