The co-sponsor for 1948 was Garidol, not Garidel. They were a tire maker. Thanks to Aldo Ross for increasing the accuracy of the information.

Lygie in the post war years regularly sposored a pro team, primarily in Italy. There is evidence of activity in '48, 55, 57, 58, 63 and 64. It appears however, that Lygie was a second tier team, as they only appeared in the Giro in 63 and 64, and never sent a squad to the Tour d'France (at least never post '45). Of course we don't know if the team hibernated in the other years, or was operating but not listed on the site. Perhaps a team had to acheive a certain prominence to be mentioned on the roster of teams for the site.

The team jerseys were kelly green, with a white chest band and white arm bands. Very attractive, indeed. I wonder if the team bikes were green. The "Lygie" name was written in script on the chest, and in block letters on the arms. The secondary sponsor was printed under the Lygie on the chest. In '48 the co-sponsor was Garidel, but in all other years it was Pirelli. My french is so non-existent, that I haven't been able to find any indications of rider rosters or palmares for the team on the site. There are some simple mock ups of the jersey on the site.

If you want to browse yourself, the link to the team roster page on the site is:
