Subject: [CR]vintage butted spokes?

Picked up a few dozen boxes of vintage spokes from an old shop that closed in the 60's...most are CCM 15 gauge but there are two boxes without a manufacturers name. The label say "Butted Spokes, Rolled Threads, Nickel Plated Nipples for Wooden Rims"

They are quite elegant, butted on both ends about an inch and a half in. The 13" spokes themselves appear to be nickel plated.. The nipples are just over an inch long.

Soooo...can anyone date these? Offer some pearls of wisdom? Desireable? When were spokes nickel plated versus chrome?

Spokes are rarely discussed in terms of authenticity and originality when it comes to classic bikes. I guess they are often considered to be rolling stock.
