Subject: [CR]Legnano Roma Olympiade Questions

Am I right in thinking that the Legnano Roma Olympiade was so named because of the Rome Olympics in 1960? If so, was it introduced in that year and what years were they made?

I have recently acquired a Roma Olympiade without its original equipment and am looking for information on what parts it should have. I would guess that the rear derailleur should be Campagnolo Gran Sport or steel Record and the front derailleur Gran Sport or Record (with cable stop) depending on the year. I also imagine that the brakes should be Universal Extra side-pulls or Model 61(?) centre-pulls.

Would Campagnolo Record or Legnano hubs be equally correct? And what about chainset? Bar and Stem? Were these bikes sold complete or as framesets or both?

Thanks for any help that will enable me to get this bike back to original spec.
