Just guessing but aren't these perhaps 20 years older than Mavic's hook-beaded Module E/E2/E3 rims of the late 1970s? Also I think that Module E's *ARE* really rare in 700c, plus the Michelin Elans to go with them...
Funny if you couldn't ride clinchers because you can't afford them!
