Another point of reference: Just received from FedEx yesterday a 1979 Trek that is a 930 by serial number, but is made out of db 531 (which would make it a 700 series). This one has the racing, not the touring geometry. It's a huge frame - 25.5 inches. Complete bike with a mix of components, including a Sugino triple crank. Complete bike, in this huge frame size, weighs 24 lb on my very accurate scale. I'm sure, with full NR and lighter wheels, I could get it closer to 22 if I wanted...
All things considered, a pretty light bike considering the year and the frame size.
