Peugeot always quoted 21 lbs for the PX-10 (again the old question as to what frame size that was based on). My 1969 59 cm weighs about 22 lbs wi th totally stock components and was my lightest bike until I've gotten my 59 cm '75 Raleigh Team Pro (531) down to about 21 1/2 lbs with the correct titanium components save the titanium bb spindle. The biggest weight sav er was finding a NOS Maillard 700 dural freewheel. As for the PX-10, again I am surprised the French didn't spec an alloy seatpin for this, she should have easily beaten any Campagnolo fitted machine by a wide margin with this.

Were not the 1976-ish TI Raleigh Team Pros with 753 frames and all Super Record titanium goodies, Maillard freewheels etc the lightest of the CR List era? I believe they really did top the scales at 19 3/4 lbs.

Do you really feel this weight saving? I know I do; both the PX-10 and especially the Team Pro are just faster or feel that way. My Cinelli SC seems a "heavyweight" in comparison (she may weigh just shy of 23 lbs) but

makes up for it in ride and handling. If there's a better combination of

lightness, speed and handling than my Team Pro, I'd love to experience it.
