I'm back online after major computer problems and wanted to offer this idea to something that was brought up a while back.

Rather than beating on old side pulls with a drift to center them up (which eventually destroys the channel the spring rides in), I did something I have been thinking of for some time, and milled two flats in the large cast piece that holds the spring. I can now use a 13 mm cone wrench to center up the brakes, ala Campy sidepulls, and it works fantastic. This may have been suggested or even done by some of you.

These brakes are on my winter commuter, so the flats show a little bit of rust.
