Subject: [CR]Old Legnano

Ive taken ownership of my brothers Legnano and need help in getting it back in shape. He told me it originally came from Cupertino 'Bike Spot" but I heard back from them (Bike Store-whoever they are now a days) and they told me that they never sold any Legnanos.(growing up I knew a family with Cinelli's from that store, but I never saw a Legnano before this one.)

It had been painted twice when he bought it in 1971 so it must be at least early 60's. It was originally a slightly metallic blue, no chrome but on the fork crown, and stamped with 267 on the bottom of the bottom bracket. It also has the brass head badge and was said to be made of Falck tubing. Every other bike Ive seen on teh web has the ssn# on the seat lug and starts with ex..

Help! I love this bike and want to do it right, but also want to get on with my life. I remember my young years obsessed with a Hetchins, and I sadly dont have the time to be so selfish!

Given the sn# - do you have any idea the year of this bike and what store it might have come from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
