This is a 13mm single bolt version.

How does one tighten this rascal so it does not slip. I have tried brute force and the clamp is still slipping enough to make the nose of the saddle raise about an inch during a ride. I am using a Selle San Marcos Regal saddle and it is clamped near the front of the rails.

Nick: There should be a thin, flat washer that goes under the head of the bolt. The washer can get lost over the years. Without it, these posts are somewhat notorious for slipping under certain conditions. If I recall correctly, I think there was even an "early" and a "late" version of the washer, with the later one being brass, whereas the first version was steel, although I'm a bit fuzzy on that detail right now.... Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is a good source for the washers at this point. I just grabbed the nearest one-bolt SR post I could find, and it's missing it's washer, naturally.... Has anyone measured them and spec'ed out replacement ones?
