I found this auction for a 1960's Bianchi on German ebay: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5178079047

Perhaps the seller can share with us where he found his mushrooms. ;-) It all goes to show that it is not only Americans that use their imagination when dreamingup descriptions...

The translation of the description is: "Here is a small bit of Cycling history: Bianchi This word is brought upin conjunction with names like: Coppi, Gimondi, Baronchelli, Bugno and most recently Ullrich. Bianchi has been associated with cycling since the day when anybody placed a chain between two wheels and rode up to the Madonna to Ghisallo. Now, here isyour chance to win an auction for wondeful silver 1960's Bianchi. Frame and fork: 55cm c-c, Bianchi dropouts Headset: Ofmega Bars and stem: 3TTT Crank: Ofmega. Specially made for Bianchi with Bianchi name Derailleurs: Campagnolo Nuovo Record pat. 1970 Shifters: Campagnolo Nuovo Record Brakes: Newly fitted Galli Competition right out of the box! Hubs: Ofmega. Specially made for Bianchi with Bianchi name Rims: Nisi Seatpost: Gipiemme, pantographed Saddle: Superstrada Pump: Silca Impero with Bianchi Logo The bike is in very good condition. There are traces of use on the chainstay."

Descriptions like these always make me wonder what the seller was thinking. There is absolutely nothing on the bike that would indicate a bike from the 1960's. Almost all of the components are from the 80's and the frame appears to be a gas-pipe job. Just what you want to get for $470!!!
