Aldo, I believe the maternal surname name is last in a full name presentation... so these may be the maternal name though generally left off. This is what I was told by a Peruvian friend when once I saw a document with a further name after what I had always known as his surname.

While we're on the topic of Spanish riders, can someone explain why Spanish names include alternate "last names"? For instance: Luis Ocaña (Pernia), Miguel Indurain (Larraya), José Maria Jimenez (Sastre). What are the rules structuring spanish names?
