He is one to add to the list. Algurn made in Garrett Lane Tooting South London. Really fancy lugwork. I think the Fleur d' Ly's was their top model. Stuart Purves (Ex Claud Butler) and Brian Packer (Ex Rotrax) were their builders were two of thier builders that i know of. Circa early 1950's. Also in the VCC News & Views is a frame featured by Pat Skeats another famous South London builder. Pat worked for Hetchins prior to starting up on his own. Jimmy Long ex Horace Bates East London builder. Jimmy, Stuart and Pat Skeats as well as making frames specialised in making extensions (stems) for the trade. Mostly ornate. Hetchins used any of these three to make their fancy stems especially for their exhibition models I was told that they made most of their money from making stems.
