Lou is correct about Stuart Purves. He was at Claud Butler's for many years. Also worked for Lou and Les Ephgrave (the twins) as works manager. Both Lou and Les were ex Claud Butler's. Stuart Purves had his own shop at Streatham Hill South London. He also worked for Algurns. He is what is known over here as a jobbing (freelance)builder. Jimmy Long, Wally Green, Doc (H.E.) Green, Vic Edwards, Ephgraves and loads more made for lots of different makers in this capacity. Claud Butlers made loads of frames for the various lightweight shops all transfered up in a variety of names.

Thats all for now. Keep those wheels spinning, in your memories if not still on the road. Be lucky Mick Butler Huntingdon UK.
