Things to visit in and around Seattle, not necessarily in this order:

- Downtown Seattle: Elliot Bay has some nice old bikes on display. Contact Bob Freeman beforehand - he has many more in the back.

- Il Vecchio in Leschi on Lake Washington: Also has some lovely older bikes on display, including currently three Rene Herse, two or three Cinellis from the 1950s and 1960s, a lovely 1960s Schwinn Paramount, a Jack Taylor and some others. Usually an Alex Singer or two as well. George, the owner, recently had heart surgery, so hours are limited for the time being.

- Recycled Cycles, University District: All kinds of junk and sometimes some jewels, too. A few cool bikes on display hung from the ceiling.

- Bikeworks, Rainier Valley: Junk and jewels, plus a good cause (fixing up low-income kids with bikes)

- Wright Bros., Fremont: Funky old store, some neat bikes, a lot of spare parts for old Campy and such.

- Kingston Classic Cycles: Also some really neat stuff. Not sure which of their shops closed, they now are down to one - I believe the one in Kingston. Worth a trip!

I am sure there are more...
