I'm sure this auction was driven by the results of the NOS set that sold recently for $$$. It's a sad state of affairs, kind of like selling human organs on the black market. Some people are more valuable for their parts. I guess some bikes are, too...

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. I have visions of frantic collectors wandering through their garage or basement, a predator looking prey, carefully examining the drop-outs on the innocent old frames hanging quietly from their hooks...like a butcher looking for a choice chunk of meat on steer carcasses in a freezer...ah HAH! There's one. The poor frame is summarily removed from its haven, brought out into the light, and someone fires up the sawz-all....

The Horror! The Horror!
