Concerning the difference between road and pista versions of the Unicanitor plastic saddle, I currently have both types. The road saddle is distinctly wider and has two arcs of smaller ventilation holes curved around the widest part of the saddle (in addition to the usual three larger ventilation holes that run down the length of the saddle). The pista saddle is narrower and has only the three larger ventilation holes. With regard to the ventilation holes, both layouts existed when I first used the Unicanitor saddle in the mid-sixties, although I can't recall if the road and pista saddles differed in width at that time (but I'll bet they did).
