having to ride an AMF anything in the Little 500... yuck!! AMF "Road master" indeed... what did Dave call it, "A piece of junk".. yep. No o ne here collects those (I sincerely hope) so my theory about all of you being Masi-philes because "Dave rode one" is sheer nonsense...

Collect? ... Nah. But that reminds me ... I think I never sent a link to PICs of a true POSEUR bike I nabbed from the local thrift for about 4 bucks. It's a Huffy Aerowind, inspired by the 1980s "aero" craze that we cover from time to time. The frame has flattened gaspipe tubes, and a super low level Shimano (Adamas?) AX gruppo, that poorly emulates it's Dura Ace distant relative. Still, some of the mechanisms are very similar looking to the real deal, and the rear derailleur is an AX Positron. Oh yes, the bike weighs a ton, and I have not (yet) ridden it :)

It's probably not really on topic, since it is neither lightweight, nor warm, let alone hot enough to be keeping any flame; but it might still fall in the timeline. Just thought some of you might want to see it ... for kicks.
