I agree with Peter. I remember the old Raleighs,and others had as on option SS spokes. Remember my dad talking about them during and right after the war on what was available before the war. I recollect Schwinn having an option, also, but it may have been right after the war, and maybe Chicago Cycle the great Schwinn distributor had them through the war or maybe right before or after? They were quite expensive I remember and money was very tight and in short supply, the economy wasn.t all that hot and bikes were not a must have deluxe item. Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates, CA
