It's interesting that this topic of aero frames has come up since i just put together my gios aerodynamic and started riding it last week. and as a relatively large rider, i'll take whatever 'advantage' i can get, whether real or imaginable. :-)

though i haven't taken a measuring tape to the frames, the aerodynamic and super record ride very different from each other. they are both 55's but i swear the aero rides much smoother and feels bigger then the super record and it also feels as if it has a lower center of gravity. they both were built around 81-82. the super record with columbus SL, the aero with, of course, columbus AIR tubing. maybe it's the flattened rear stays and sloping fork that's slicing thru the air with the greatest of ease that i'm feeling. either way i like it. :-)
