Hi, I joined the list several years ago but have always put off sending in a introduction to the list. I have meet several of the members and have been able to acquire and or exchange parts with some of you. All my transactions with list members have been very positive. Okay a brief bio. Born and raised in Caracas Venezuela '54-66, Lived in Surrey England 66-71 where acquired my first "racing bike" a Viking Presto 5sp. I have lived in the US from 1971 to the present. The Viking went through several upgrades and served me well through my college years at UCSB. It was at UCSB that I was first introduced to quality racing bikes, mainly MASIs which seemed to be the preferred bike of most of the bike club members. The first Italian bike I was able to afford was a early 80's Guerciotti which was my only light weight until I started building my collection around 2000. I stopped riding my bike in the mid to late '90s after a rash of flats while riding sew-ups I just hung my bike up in the garage and time seemed to slip by. I have been trying to get back into riding condition ever since I started collecting more bikes. My bikes which are on topic: '69 Masi Special (purchased from Matteo Brandi, and being resurrected by Brian Baylis), 69-72 Pogliaghi #9656, 73 Paramount, 75 Masi GC ( purchase from Bob Feitas), 79 Della Santa, 79 Gios Torino SR, 79 Colnago, Super Prestige De Rosa, 80's Gios Torino Pro., early 80 Colnago (Mexico?, purchased from Paulie Davis), 80's Tommasini Prestige, 80's Medici Pro Strada, Masi Nouva Strada (italian steel, year?), Masi USSR V3 (#3 of 100). There it is most of my collection, the only problem is that most are completely disassembled waiting to be brought back to life. I have finaly introduced myself to the list, I have never felt that I had much in the way of knowledge to add so I have kept quiet but there have being some posts recently that I have wanted to comment on but I felt it important that I should first introduce my self
