Phil,

Most people when talking about BB height refer to it as "drop" when it comes to road bike design, however, being a track bike you would measure from the ground up to the center of the BB spindle. As long as your tires hold air, it should be a MINIMUM of 11 inches for a "normal track" ( Normal being 333m) Any less than that, and you are scraping pedals and pulling splinters out of your butt on the Superdrome, Blaine or L.A. I design my frames with 11.375-11.5 for those who ride those tracks as their home tracks.

Don Walker donwalkercycles.com What is the normal BB height clearance on a track bike, so it could be ridden on the steepest velodrome? Where is it measured from?
